Sessions will cover the following:
- Explaining pain – understanding how our brain perceives pain can help us to have a more holistic approach to pain management, combining physical, psychological, and emotional and creative strategies to improve the quality of life.
- Making pain visible – removing the unknown and being able to see what our pain might looks like, gives us a level of control. It helps us to express our emotions and makes us feel validated.
Creativity uses a part of the brain that helps reduce anxiety.
- Being part of a small community- (max 8 people) workshops.
- Getting back to socialising outside workshop times – going to local coffee shops, movie, walking at slow pace, writing, etc.
Building your capacity and energy levels while enjoying yourself. Reconnecting with conversations that will bring you joy.
- Various art techniques to explore how pain has become a barrier to the things you want to do, and individual strategies to work towards your goals.
- Re-establishing who you are- rebranding.
- Creativity helps with problem solving and decision making.
- Learning skills to reduce anxiety, both with art and breathing techniques.
- Learning to let go of the things, or people, or behaviours that hold you back.
- Working through any conflicts or challenges you may have.

Diana brings a unique blend of lived experience and professional qualifications in rehabilitation counselling to her practice, having also studied art psychotherapy and Neurographic art. Having successfully run previous workshops, she has recently introduced Neurographic art as a powerful tool in her sessions. Her goal is to help you understand how the brain perceives pain and to equip you with innovative strategies to manage it. Together, you will explore how art therapy and counselling can transform your experience and empower you to take control of your life.
