When I was looking for ideas for my logo, I was keen to be able to make a connection between the body and mind. To create a fusion between art therapy and counselling.
Before we are able to verbalise our thoughts, we use art to explore and to express our feelings, and to communicate with others. Both visual and verbal connections help us to make sense of the world.
My logo represents a Tree. It represents strength, flexibility, growth and connection. The trunk is a hand reaching upwards to connect with the brain, the neurological self. The colours are like an art palette and the lines joining them, are the neural pathways.
Using your hands to create, releases serotonin and endorphins which reduces your cortisol levels (stress hormones). It also improves your neuroplasticity by creating new pathways between your neurons. Those pathways can help us to change the way we think and respond to the things around us and the way we experience the world.
Artfusion invites you to feel connected to self and community through the exploration of art techniques in a community setting, free from judgement. We also offer 1:1 session and zoom.
