EMOTIONAL BALANCE
Our emotions are responsible for the way we feel and if we are unable to regulate our emotions, we can feel out of control – angry, anxious, depressed, impulsive or perhaps you may feel ‘stuck.’ Any of these feelings may deplete your energy and decrease your enjoyment of life.
We may begin to over think things, which may increase our emotional response, so much so that we are no longer able to regulate how we feel, and instead react to a situation. This can cause problems in our lives, both at work and at home or out with friends: and it can make you feel isolated from everyone because of their response to your reactions, leaving your feeling isolated and possibly depressed or unmotivated
Art Therapy can offer you a way to express your feelings in a safe, non-judgemental environment. It is amazing how working through a process with various art materials, whether it’s clay or mosaics or building 3D works, can help you to identify what will help you to regulate your emotions to match the situation.
Practicing Mindfulness can also help you to relax but more importantly, mindfulness can give you time to feel connected to what is happening at that moment, rather than thinking about the past or feeling uncertain about your future.
If you want to discuss your situation please do not hesitate to phone.
